A few months ago, Siva and his family faced a tragic loss when their cherished dog passed away. When the family decided they were ready to welcome a new furry member into their lives, Siva began searching for a dog available for adoption. Lucy was rescued in the nick of time by the compassionate souls of Sneha Walmiki and Mili Gandhi. They found her tied up in a place that clearly wasn’t her rightful home. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that Lucy had either been stolen or abandoned, only to be picked up by these individuals. Lucy hadn’t been spayed, and they planned to exploit her for breeding purposes. Without hesitation, her rescuers liberated her and ensured she would never fall into the wrong hands again by getting her spayed.
After we connected Siva to Sneha & Mili, they all felt Lucy had the potential to fit into their multi-generational family. So, it was decided that Siva and his family would take her in for a two-week foster period. Their hope was to see if both Lucy and the family could adjust to each other in this new chapter in their lives. As Lucy was lovingly dropped off at their home, everyone held their breath in anticipation. Much to their delight, Lucy instantly displayed a remarkable calmness and gentleness, especially around Siva’s elderly mother. Nevertheless, Siva was committed to working with a professional dog trainer to help channel Lucy’s boundless energy.
It didn’t take long for Lucy to become an integral part of the family. She won over the hearts of every member of the household with her affectionate nature and endearing quirks. Siva was overjoyed to confirm that Lucy was there to stay. Siva’s daughter Tara has come up with a new name for their happy home: The Muddy-Paws Family!
Today, they bursting with stories about Lucy, sharing tales of her playful antics, charming habits, and unique quirks. She has effortlessly woven herself into the fabric of their lives, becoming a cherished sibling to Siva’s daughters. They play together, occasionally squabble, and delight in each other’s company—a testament to the authentic bond of sibling love.
